A bit more about me…

I’m Lisa, a photographer with a deep-rooted drive for capturing life’s most exciting and meaningful moments. My love for photography is inspired by my family’s legacy—my grandad, who was the only photographer and printer in his area and is still remembered in the local community today. Although he passed away before I discovered my own love for the art, his influence has always guided me.

When I started my photography education, my dad entrusted me with his Olympus 35mm film camera. Holding that camera connected me to a family tradition, sparking my creativity and deepening my love for photography. Even as a child, I was always the one with a disposable camera in hand on our family holidays, eagerly waiting for the photos to develop so I could relive those moments. Today this tradition is still upheld by my mum with a Panasonic 35mm point and shoot camera, to this day she has never strayed from film to digital. I have countless fond memories of hearing the loud film winding back into the camera whilst in a quiet stately home or gallery.

My journey in photography was further enriched by formal education. I studied for a BA(Hons) in Photography, where I developed a solid foundation in the art and technique of photography. This was followed by a Master’s degree in Photography, which allowed me to delve deeper into specialized areas and refine my skills. These academic experiences have profoundly shaped my approach and specialisms of Motorsport, Sports and Portraiture photography.

During my Master’s degree, I embarked on a deeply personal project titled “Women in Sport,” which holds a special place in my heart. This ongoing project celebrates the incredible achievements and diverse stories of amazing women in the sports world, highlighting their tenacity and determination to break barriers imposed on women in a largely male-dominated world. It has received several awards and continues to be one of my proudest achievements.

My love for motorsport is boundless—I could watch any race, at any time, and be utterly thrilled. This interest fuels my work as a motorsport photographer, where I strive to capture the adrenaline and excitement of every moment. Alongside motorsport, I also excel in portrait and sport photography, infusing each genre with my enthusiasm and commitment.

Whether it’s the thrill of motorsports, capturing the essence of an individual in a portrait, or freezing the action of athletic events, I bring my unique perspective and fervour to every shot. As a young woman in a dynamic field, I’m dedicated to breaking boundaries and bringing fresh, creative energy to my work.

My aim is to craft images that not only narrate a story but also resonate with you on a personal level. I view each photograph as a piece of history, and I’m honoured to assist you in capturing and preserving your unique moments. I truly enjoy collaborating with others to create lasting memories and capture those special moments that matter most.
